Salary and benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $71,944 to $98,625, based on experience.
  • Including the cost-of-living allowance and the food allowance, the total annual compensation ranges from $87,833 to $114,514.
  • Flexible schedule with the possibility of working between 35 and 40 hours per week.
  • An annual travel allowance for your trips between Kuujjuaq and the rest of Quebec.
  • Housing provided in accordance with current policies.
  • 25 vacation days.
  • 16 statutory holidays.
  • 12 sick days.
  • Option to accumulate a bank of 70 hours (10 days).

Responsibilities

  • Identify renovation or modernization needs.
  • Plan, organize, and inspect projects under your responsibility.
  • Prepare summary plans, technical blueprints, and estimates.
  • Prepare calls for tenders’ documentation and contractor selection.
  • Ensure daily coordination of construction sites.
  • Monitor work progress, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare updates and project close-out reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of NHB technical standards and procedures.

Required Profile

  • College diploma in architectural technology or college diploma in building mechanics, or equivalent technical training.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience overseeing construction sites or coordinating technical activities.
  • Good understanding of construction standards, materials, and methods.
  • Knowledge of the northern context or Inuit communities (an asset).

  • Fluency in two of the following languages: French, English, Inuktitut.
