Your Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Maintenance, the Inventory Foreman ensures the proper organization, control, and availability of materials, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance operations. The role provides operational leadership to warehouse and inventory teams and supports efficient material distribution across Kuujjuaq and the communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring proper organization, storage, and stock levels
  • Coordinate the reception, preparation, shipment, and distribution of materials and equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels and support planning to avoid shortages or overstock situations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory counts and reporting
  • Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and community teams for material requests and shipments
  • Supervise warehouse and inventory staff, including task assignment, scheduling, and timesheet validation
  • Provide guidance, training, and daily support to team members
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and proper use of equipment
  • Maintain safe and efficient warehouse and storage environments
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Profile

  • Secondary V diploma or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehouse or manual work
  • Experience in team supervision or leadership (asset)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to travel to Nunavik communities when required
  • Fluency in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, French

Salary and benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly base salary ranging from $36.71 to $48.62, depending on experience. Employees are eligible for an annual travel allowance of $13,719.30, an annual costof-living differential (CLD) of $12,178.11, and a food cargo allowance of $4,105.56 per year, in accordance with current policies and eligibility criteria.

The position also includes 25 vacation days, 16 statutory holidays, and 12 sick days per year, with the option to accumulate a bank of 80 hours (10 days). Group insurance and a pension plan with a 7% employer RRSP contribution are also offered.
